Turrets of Sorrow

.

handwritten

Stood on hallowed ground, a monument of war. Unknown how many souls lost within its wall. Their vibrations held within the weathered stone, in spirit waiting to be free and not left alone. Left haunted by unanswered questions of life, and their loved ones who were left to mourn.
Emotions carry through the air, the cries of the turrets of sorrow. Places of rest and of mourning for those lost in wait for tomorrow. Say your grace, your thanks when you leave the door. For your life has not known of the suffer that they have endure.
Give gratitude for life and all it offers, for that is their simple wish. Stand wise and respect the vibrations of those who walked before. Those who were lost, so we can continue to explore.

Ode to Narcissists

handwritten

You once stole my empath soul. Set my life on fire, just to keep you whole. Drained of all life I held, tortured through guilt and shame. I wept and cried, while you persisted to blame.
Begged for mercy, for the pain to stop. Then you pretended to be life’s saviour. Until you realised, that was no longer in your favour. The painful words, the hatred you shed. No remorse, while I lay there and bled. With no insight or respect, no empathy in sight. Sharing stories of untruth, with all your might.
Still us empath souls do not take up fight. Belief that even narcissists can find their light. How naive we must be, seeing the best in every soul we see. It’s not our choice, simply our soul’s duty. To share our endless love for all of life, no matter what our own life’s strife. So when you leave us empty, with nothing left around. Broken and in pieces, we come close to joining the ground.
Still our empath soul does not give up its light. For one day…one day, you will show our unspoken stories in other’s sight.

Live Life to the Fullest

handwritten

Clocks ticking, counting down,
Till our final breath.
Never knowing, the final timing,
Last tick, or cause of death.
Time unforgiving, precious treasure,
With purpose to be worn.
Adventure seeking, dream living,
Life’s choice with each new day born.

Why Have The Tears Run So Dry?

handwritten

Why have the tears run so dry?
For so long they have not been shy.
No longer they fall upon my cheek.
The clouds inside, filling as I speak.
Maybe the calm before the storm?
Will today, be the day to break at dawn?
Hoping for the cloudy eyes to give rain.
Letting go of emotions, before I go insane.
Tried to release with music and walk.
Now it’s time, for hiding alone in thought.
Brewing of storm, will not forever last.
Finally it will break, and quickly it be past.

reflection

Do you ever have those times when the tears are building up, emotions confused and you just want to cry but unable to? The feeling happened so many times before…the build up is hard! This is a poem about pain and to remind us to always remember that when we finally do release all the pain inside, we always come back stronger!

Feel Your Emotional Embrace

handwritten

No matter how strong you truly feel,
Some days or nights your pain will be real.
Don’t try to run, hide or bury it away,
As it will always catch up to you someday.
So take time for your emotional embrace,
Your feelings should never be lost in a race.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

We all have those days where we can get caught up in our emotions. It can feel like we don’t have the time that we need to get through them, so they get suppressed and lost inside. However, they never get lost and we forever continue pushing them down. This is a poem about feelings, our feelings we hide. Hopefully it will remind us, that we all need to make sure we take the time we need to actually feel. To actually let go of the emotions, to be able to live our life free.

I’m Not The Man You Used to See

handwritten

I’m not the man you used to see,
Before inner ghosts were all set free.
No more haunting in mind’s sight,
Demons now all forgiven into the light.

So no, it’s not the man you used to see,
for this man,
this man now walks with his mind free.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

When you finally battle and let go of your past, many do not always recognise who the new you might be. Trust that this is change and it is your journey to now walk with a free mind. A mind with no burden of who you once used to be.

Let this poem about change, help remind you that it is time to live your life…today and everyday!

Skip Amongst the Tree

image

Background photo by Taylor Wright on Unsplash

handwritten

Close your eyes, to release the wonder.
To see the stars, or across the deep blue yonder.
Allow the imagination, to live wild and free.
Let it run, and skip amongst the tree.
Release the Fairies, Pixies and Angel’s too.
Fly amongst the clouds, in a sky of bright blue.
Be the inner child, that still lives inside.
Forget the society rules…
…to which we are meant to abide.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

Do you remember the bedtime stories, with all the hope’s and dreams of when you are a child? When did that stop? Do you still close your eyes in meditation and allow yourself to be free? You know, to be the child you once were?

This happiness poem about life is to give us a smile, to inspire us into our inner child. I ask you tonight to close your eyes, and take your mind wherever it wishes. Take yourself on a journey and try to remember those feelings. Try to release yourself, enjoy all the wonder.

Words from the Skies Above

handwritten

My beliefs are my own,
As are the values I belong.
Meaning is for all to seek,
Absent of others headstrong.
Words from the skies above,
Providing the guiding light.
But purpose is only found,
When you gain inner sight.

River Beds of Your Sanity

b&w
image

Background photo supplied by Jared Erondu on Unsplash

handwritten

Rain pounding on the rooftop,
Every drop a thought, a memory over time,
Quickly filling the reservoir of your mind,
Conflicting, challenging your dreams,
As you seek comfort and shelter,
Under the blanket, duvet or even umbrella,
To block the carnage of the storm,
While awaiting the sun to break free,
To dry those breached river beds of your sanity,
Soon you will see the rainbow in the skies,
A symbol of hope and happiness,
Showing that through all darkness,
…there will always be light.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

Just a reminder that through everything, weather, pain, hurt there is always miracles and light.
