Is Love True?

b&w

Background photo supplied by Anastasia Sklyar on Unsplash

handwritten

Love is unknown, for the emotion is never taught.
Love is painful, through memory of all past fought.
Love is confusing, a collision of hope and fear.
Love is anxious, with answers the ears do not always hear.
Love is shy, sometimes masked under veil.
Love is real, when two souls wish for it to prevail.
Love is forever…
when you know inside it’s TRUE!

reflection

The saying love is blind, will never truly explain the most difficult emotion we could ever understand. Love can mean many things, but sometimes it’s hard to realise through all the other emotions combining in a perfect storm. This poem about love is just a slight insight into what love can be…

From Fresh New Eyes

handwritten

At times we feel, the need to run away,
To be wild and free…
the wish for it to always stay.

Sometimes impossible, to find an answer,
Amongst society’s sheltered opinion…
and all their nasty chatter.

You’re never alone, to paint a new picture,
A path unconsidered…
a journey that can deliver.

So step back, and look with fresh new eyes,
Remember there is always a way…
for all your dreams to realise.

You’re Not Done…Wake Up!

handwritten

Eyelids startled, ripped open by the sharp ringing of alarm. Monday has arrived, time again to step out into society’s harm.

Tears fall upon my cheek, knowing that life demands so much more. Pillow a sponge, for disappearing hope’s and dreams of the night before.

Waiting for a sign, the window presents the roaring fire of the morning sun. Filling your soul, with a heartfelt message that you’re not done.

For Mother Earth knows your love, through every action you have shown. So wake up this morning, filled with intent and happiness for all you care. For with your purpose, you will deliver to the world all you dare.

Skip Amongst the Tree

Background photo by Taylor Wright on Unsplash

handwritten

Close your eyes, to release the wonder.
To see the stars, or across the deep blue yonder.
Allow the imagination, to live wild and free.
Let it run, and skip amongst the tree.
Release the Fairies, Pixies and Angel’s too.
Fly amongst the clouds, in a sky of bright blue.
Be the inner child, that still lives inside.
Forget the society rules…
…to which we are meant to abide.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

Do you remember the bedtime stories, with all the hope’s and dreams of when you are a child? When did that stop? Do you still close your eyes in meditation and allow yourself to be free? You know, to be the child you once were?

This happiness poem about life is to give us a smile, to inspire us into our inner child. I ask you tonight to close your eyes, and take your mind wherever it wishes. Take yourself on a journey and try to remember those feelings. Try to release yourself, enjoy all the wonder.

Love Through the Ocean Eyes

handwritten

At times we question, the words we hear.
Sometimes a result, of your love or fear.

Maybe through a life, of pain its cause.
Look through the ocean eyes, and take pause.

For the soul deep within, is unable to lie.
And the love you’ve felt there…
…it will never die.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

The past few poems have focused on calling for help to heal the world, but this evening’s words are back to a poem about love. In particular, how we question others feelings because of our own pains inside. Sometimes we just need to look deeper within them, to find the trust in their love.

The Wild World Cries

handwritten

Lions, Tigers, Sharks…man scared of the predator,
but who in reality holds the trigger.
Homes across lands and seas destroyed,
nature fighting for survival while man snigger.

The beauty of the world disappearing,
every minute and every hour of every day.
Who had the right to take their land,
leaving nature homeless without their say.

Wildlife fighting for the scraps that remain,
whilst man cover the land with concrete and cattle.
Listen to the wild world cry through the sky,
for it is our call to help support their battle.

A deep and raw climate change poem, that will hopefully touch us all. Just remember, that with every decision we make, we need to consider our world and the impact we have on all life on our earth.

Return the World Wild

image

Background photo supplied by Lucas Myers on Unsplash

handwritten

I wish never to see, the end product of man.
The world in ashes, all life become a sham.
For it was naivety of mankind, that lit the flame.
Lost respect for nature, eyes burned with greed to blame.
Attenborough our witness, his truth no longer mild.
The answer given to us all, return the world’s wild.
Time is running out, but the clock is still ticking.
Let us be the change, it’s only our empathy missing.

reflection

After listening to David Attenborough’s wise words in “A life on Our Planet”, I needed to write this climate change poem. As we can no longer be blind to the truth that is all around us. Isn’t it time for us all to wake up? If you haven’t seen it, watch it…we still have time to restore and protect our earth, but time is running out. What small things could you do today to make a difference?

To help you see the truth, to see the changes needed I have embedded the video link below for you. Please do share your emotions and suggestions for change with us on this page.

Let us all be the change!

Words from the Skies Above

Background photo supplied by Greg Rakozy on Unsplash

handwritten

My beliefs are my own,
As are the values I belong.
Meaning is for all to seek,
Absent of others headstrong.
Words from the skies above,
Providing the guiding light.
But purpose is only found,
When you gain inner sight.

Angels Forever By Your Side

b&w
image

Background photo supplied by Sharon McCutcheon on Unsplash

handwritten

One day you will awake, all life will be bright.
All scars healed, no matter the darkness of the fight.
Trust in your soul, for it will lead your way.
The mind will battle, but no need to hear it’s say.
Just listen to your heart, life’s purpose burning deep inside.
Time has come to trust, your Angels forever by your side.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

At times we battle through life, and we struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, trust that your soul will guide you through, for I really do believe everything does happen for a reason in life. No matter how hard it feels at the time, we have to believe that there will be light.

Ancient Wisdom Lost

b&w
image

Background photo supplied by Salvatore Gebbia from Pexels

handwritten

Eyes to the Universe, closed for so long.
The ancient wisdom, of tribes lost among.
Society continuing, in a downward spiral.
Mind bleeding, with thought and denial.

Once seen as a sense, but now in control.
Perception creates, a need to sell your soul.
If only all knew, the truth and answer.
Turn off the power, to all we surrender.

Delve into the inner self, for Heaven’s sake.
For only there, your purpose will truly awake.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

Are we truly happy in the society we live in? Happy with the noise around us? All of the perception and materialism? This spiritual poem is about finding your true happiness and purpose, which I believe comes from within. That is where we truly find our true selves.
