Why Have The Tears Run So Dry?

handwritten

Why have the tears run so dry?
For so long they have not been shy.
No longer they fall upon my cheek.
The clouds inside, filling as I speak.
Maybe the calm before the storm?
Will today, be the day to break at dawn?
Hoping for the cloudy eyes to give rain.
Letting go of emotions, before I go insane.
Tried to release with music and walk.
Now it’s time, for hiding alone in thought.
Brewing of storm, will not forever last.
Finally it will break, and quickly it be past.

Do you ever have those times when the tears are building up, emotions confused and you just want to cry but unable to? The feeling happened so many times before…the build up is hard! This is a poem about pain and to remind us to always remember that when we finally do release all the pain inside, we always come back stronger!

Feel Your Emotional Embrace

handwritten

No matter how strong you truly feel,
Some days or nights your pain will be real.
Don’t try to run, hide or bury it away,
As it will always catch up to you someday.
So take time for your emotional embrace,
Your feelings should never be lost in a race.

reflection

We all have those days where we can get caught up in our emotions. It can feel like we don’t have the time that we need to get through them, so they get suppressed and lost inside. However, they never get lost and we forever continue pushing them down. This is a poem about feelings, our feelings we hide. Hopefully it will remind us, that we all need to make sure we take the time we need to actually feel. To actually let go of the emotions, to be able to live our life free.

Dreams Can Come True

handwritten

A hope, a dream, a wish…
they all begin with the seed of thought,
but it’s the power of your belief
that will see them come true.

reflection

We all have dreams and wishes for our life, but how many times have we never seen them through. It’s down to each of us, to believe in our dreams to make sure they come true.

Time To Let Her fly

Caged like a bird,
Longing to be heard.
Wishing to be free,
Flying among the tree.
Release the cage door,
Allow her wings to soar.

I’m Not The Man You Used to See

b&w

handwritten

I’m not the man you used to see,
Before inner ghosts were all set free.
No more haunting in mind’s sight,
Demons now all forgiven into the light.

So no, it’s not the man you used to see,
for this man,
this man now walks with his mind free.

reflection

When you finally battle and let go of your past, many do not always recognise who the new you might be. Trust that this is change and it is your journey to now walk with a free mind. A mind with no burden of who you once used to be.

Let this poem about change, help remind you that it is time to live your life…today and everyday!

Broken Puzzles of Society

No matter your wealth, your status, your appearance. We are all just simple broken puzzles of society. All in search of our missing pieces to make us whole once again.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

Sometimes it is easy to perceive that everyone is happy, but deep down no matter what we think…we are all the same in this world. We are all trying to find the missing puzzle pieces inside of us. The parts of us that don’t feel whole. This is really a poem about culture, the one of society today. Reminding you to never ever look around and think it’s just you that’s feeling the way you do…

as we all feel the same!

You are that Unique

Background photo supplied by Sam Kolder from Pexels

handwritten

There are more than 7 billion people in this world, but there is only one you.
It’s only your story, your hopes,
your dreams.
You are that unique!

@the_wildwolf
reflection

I spoke these words to a man propping up a bar, his face showing pain. I hardly knew him, but he replied in shock and said he had never heard these words before. After our few minutes, he thanked me with a hug before leaving with a smile. So this is a short poem about self love…a reminder to each of us.

How many of you need to hear these words today? How many of you need to believe in your uniqueness in this world once again?

You’ll Never Walk Alone

b&w
image
handwritten

Walking upon, the glistening streets of cobble.
Thoughts stirring, within the mind’s bubble.
How many have trodden the same path?
Enduring their own, life’s burden and wrath.
Our tales fusing, within each and every stone.
Reminder in the world…you’ll never walk alone.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

An evening walk, pondering all the stories and memories of lifetimes gone. No matter how different the stories maybe to ours, their stories will always show that we are never truly alone. Just take a moment and reflect on all those that have walked before us and the struggles they survived. A poem about loneliness, to remind us that we are never truly alone…there is always those watching over us.

Unspoken Stories

handwritten

Your autobiography defines your past,
A thousand stories in the mind they last,
Never scribed for others to empathise,
Only unspoken stories for all to criticise.

@the_wildwolf
reflection

Not all will hear your version of a story in life. The journey you have battled. That story is often only left to live in our mind and never shared. But even still, that is not a reason to allow yourself to be judged. Especially when no other person understands your true stories.

So please remember, it’s your story and there are always new pages left to write of your biography.

Rain Drops Falling Upon My Cheek

b&w
image

Background photo supplied by Tom Pumford on Unsplash

handwritten

Rain drops falling upon my cheek,
It’s ocean eyes from which they leak.
A sign of strength they all say,
Truth is these are for the debts to repay.

Heart shattered many moons ago,
Fear it could never take another blow,.
Until a wanderer of the sea arrived,
With her magic the heart revived.

Every beat now bursting with love,
Before fear formed around like a glove.
Grip squeezed and tightened its hold,
Still vulnerable is the truth to be told.

Unable to explain the battle inside,
Until only the fear was left to reside.
So, the rain drops falling tell the story,
Of a man who proved himself no glory.

His revived heart now divided in two,
Forever knowing her love found was true…
