Time To Let Her fly

Caged like a bird,
Longing to be heard.
Wishing to be free,
Flying among the tree.
Release the cage door,
Allow her wings to soar.

Broken Puzzles of Society

No matter your wealth, your status, your appearance. We are all just simple broken puzzles of society. All in search of our missing pieces to make us whole once again.

reflection

Sometimes it is easy to perceive that everyone is happy, but deep down no matter what we think…we are all the same in this world. We are all trying to find the missing puzzle pieces inside of us. The parts of us that don’t feel whole. This is really a poem about culture, the one of society today. Reminding you to never ever look around and think it’s just you that’s feeling the way you do…

as we all feel the same!

From Fresh New Eyes

At times we feel, the need to run away,
To be wild and free…
the wish for it to always stay.

Sometimes impossible, to find an answer,
Amongst society’s sheltered opinion…
and all their nasty chatter.

You’re never alone, to paint a new picture,
A path unconsidered…
a journey that can deliver.

So step back, and look with fresh new eyes,
Remember there is always a way…
for all your dreams to realise.

You’re Not Done…Wake Up!

Eyelids startled, ripped open by the sharp ringing of alarm. Monday has arrived, time again to step out into society’s harm.

Tears fall upon my cheek, knowing that life demands so much more. Pillow a sponge, for disappearing hope’s and dreams of the night before.

Waiting for a sign, the window presents the roaring fire of the morning sun. Filling your soul, with a heartfelt message that you’re not done.

For Mother Earth knows your love, through every action you have shown. So wake up this morning, filled with intent and happiness for all you care. For with your purpose, you will deliver to the world all you dare.

The Wild World Cries

handwritten

Lions, Tigers, Sharks…man scared of the predator,
but who in reality holds the trigger.
Homes across lands and seas destroyed,
nature fighting for survival while man snigger.

The beauty of the world disappearing,
every minute and every hour of every day.
Who had the right to take their land,
leaving nature homeless without their say.

Wildlife fighting for the scraps that remain,
whilst man cover the land with concrete and cattle.
Listen to the wild world cry through the sky,
for it is our call to help support their battle.

A deep and raw climate change poem, that will hopefully touch us all. Just remember, that with every decision we make, we need to consider our world and the impact we have on all life on our earth.

Return the World Wild

handwritten

I wish never to see, the end product of man.
The world in ashes, all life become a sham.
For it was naivety of mankind, that lit the flame.
Lost respect for nature, eyes burned with greed to blame.
Attenborough our witness, his truth no longer mild.
The answer given to us all, return the world’s wild.
Time is running out, but the clock is still ticking.
Let us be the change, it’s only our empathy missing.

After listening to David Attenborough’s wise words in “A life on Our Planet”, I needed to write this climate change poem. As we can no longer be blind to the truth that is all around us. Isn’t it time for us all to wake up? If you haven’t seen it, watch it…we still have time to restore and protect our earth, but time is running out. What small things could you do today to make a difference?

To help you see the truth, to see the changes needed I have embedded the video link below for you. Please do share your emotions and suggestions for change with us on this page.

Let us all be the change!

Stuck at the desk of groundhog day,
Keeping all of life’s dreams at bay.
Window a landscape of art in disguise,
Keeping all of life’s dreams alive.

Invisible Demands

Body chained to desk, owing to the invisible demands of society,
Serenity of the sea calling, the twinkling of the sun in its ripples whispering,
Mind lost in its heaven, living free in the world out beyond the horizon.

A thought: New beginnings…

b&w
image

Background photo supplied by Hansjörg Keller on Unsplash

handwritten

Every day when our eyes open, we all have the choice to decide on what that day will bring…worry and suffering or happiness and joy. Its our decision to decide if we wake up and believe that today is going to be a good day, or if we are going to allow the negativity of the past and uncertainties of the future affect us…affect our mood, affect our life.
What if we always choose to be positive, and to live in the now? To make those decisions from the moment we wake to be happy…to do those things we love and spend those moments with those that bring us happiness and joy.
The power to make that change in our life is down to us…no one else. It’s our own responsibility to believe in ourselves, our own happiness and our own dreams. And forever to be grateful for those in our life that want to share the happiness in those moments that today we will create.
It’s never too late for a new beginning, the past does not define us…but, the memories we make today and tomorrow are our own responsibility to create to define our future self.

A new adventure to be lived

b&w
image

Background photo supplied by Mariah Krafft on Unsplash

handwritten

Awake each day with a new adventure to be lived, a day of mystery and the unknown. The world was gifted to us to be loved, respected and for all of us free to roam. Connecting with all living creatures, no matter the statue they stand. All of nature, from the wild forests to the corals of the turquoise seas. Our home is this earth to which we ground, through the depths of the ocean or shallow loam.
It is left to our election, to live the life of a wild wolf within our world’s society of sheep.
I resolve to be…
A wild Wolf!
