Ode to Narcissists

You once stole my empath soul. Set my life on fire, just to keep you whole. Drained of all life I held, tortured through guilt and shame. I wept and cried, while you persisted to blame.
Begged for mercy, for the pain to stop. Then you pretended to be life’s saviour. Until you realised, that was no longer in your favour. The painful words, the hatred you shed. No remorse, while I lay there and bled. With no insight or respect, no empathy in sight. Sharing stories of untruth, with all your might.
Still us empath souls do not take up fight. Belief that even narcissists can find their light. How naive we must be, seeing the best in every soul we see. It’s not our choice, simply our soul’s duty. To share our endless love for all of life, no matter what our own life’s strife. So when you leave us empty, with nothing left around. Broken and in pieces, we come close to joining the ground.
Still our empath soul does not give up its light. For one day…one day, you will show our unspoken stories in other’s sight.

Tormented by Silence

Tormented by the silence, of stories I never speak,
Haunting the happiness, of all I ever seek.

Who else does this? In life we all have stories, some that incorrectly paint us in a bad light. We keep the story quiet for the benefit of others, to protect them…the fear of consequence to them. However, how many of those stories prevent us from finding our own happiness? Life of empathy has its burdens, but we always try to do our best for others before ourselves…no matter the cost! That is something I have grown to be grateful for.

Return the World Wild

I wish never to see, the end product of man.
The world in ashes, all life become a sham.
For it was naivety of mankind, that lit the flame.
Lost respect for nature, eyes burned with greed to blame.
Attenborough our witness, his truth no longer mild.
The answer given to us all, return the world’s wild.
Time is running out, but the clock is still ticking.
Let us be the change, it’s only our empathy missing.

reflection

After listening to David Attenborough’s wise words in “A life on Our Planet”, I needed to write this climate change poem. As we can no longer be blind to the truth that is all around us. Isn’t it time for us all to wake up? If you haven’t seen it, watch it…we still have time to restore and protect our earth, but time is running out. What small things could you do today to make a difference?

To help you see the truth, to see the changes needed I have embedded the video link below for you. Please do share your emotions and suggestions for change with us on this page.

Let us all be the change!

Mother Earth’s Wish

A Climate Change Poem - Mother Earth's Wish

She lays awake through the night, all her hopes and dreams lost. The wars she has witnessed, her mind plagued of pain and suffering touching all her soul. All the miracles she delivered, being taken by those she once loved.

She gave us everything, all our dreams and wonder. Our mentor in life, now betrayed. We call her mother, but we no longer show her our love. She taught us empathy, for all of her nature…but what in return do we offer?

She lay broken and in pieces, suffering from all of our abuse. The clouds cry out her pain, her oceans and wind seek respite and love. She questions her purpose, searching in hope for her suffering to end. Awaiting her children to reignite all her hopes and dream, but already laid in waiting over lifetimes now gone.

Our Mother Earth wants to lay down her head for a final time, for she can take no more. Her cries for help have whispered through the skies unheard. As man continue to destruct all she has created.

She weeps for her oceans, rising from all the tears she has lost. Her breath panics, as the winds ravage through lands where trees once stood. She is in her final moments, before we will need to give her final eulogy.

All our Mother hopes of those she once loved, is to show her empathy for all her creation.

Deep and raw words that woke with me this morning (September 27th 2020). A call for help from our mother earth, calling all of us to have empathy for all she provides.

We are all unique

I am unique. You are unique. The person standing next to you is unique. No matter their gender, their race, their nationality, the colour of their hair or even a disability…every person is unique in their own way!
I am not explaining the superficial view that each of us have of one another. The judgement that many people of today’s society look upon a person and judge with no knowledge of their story or journey through life. I am talking about the person, you or I or the person next to you…the uniqueness of the inner self that the worlds perception will never know or understand.
